About the Office of Data Analytics and Archives
The Office of Data Analytics and Archives was created to advance transparency and strengthen public confidence in Ohio’s elections. Secretary of State Frank LaRose has emphasized that open access to information is essential to a healthy democracy. In 2022, Secretary LaRose championed landmark legislation—the Data Analysis Transparency Archive (DATA) Act—which positioned Ohio as a national leader in collecting, preserving, and publishing electronic election data for public review. Following the passage of the DATA Act, the Office of Data Analytics and Archives was established within the Ohio Secretary of State’s office to provide:
