Every Vote Counts

The Ohio Secretary of State, Ohio’s chief election official, has partnered with craft breweries to increase voter registration and participation in Ohio. Patriotic breweries from all over Ohio are creating an “Every Vote Counts” beer, designed to spread the word and encourage Ohio voters to have their voice heard.

The label, designed by Rhinegeist Brewery out of Cincinnati, will read “Visit VoteOhio.gov to register by October 5th” to remind patrons and their friends on social media to register to vote. The label is open source and will be used by each of the partnering breweries, with space for the brewery’s own logo on the back.

Most beers will be available at tap houses across the state in September. In these challenging times, please support your local breweries as they work to register voters and make sure every vote counts!

The Tools

Label artwork is available for anyone to use. There are two template sizes, 7.5” x 3.625 (12oz) and 7.5”x5” (16oz). We are asking participating breweries to use one of these templates, with a portion of the label being open for your own art -- illustration, pattern, photography, logo, or anything else. Help Spread the Word

There are a set of social media graphics included with the art files that you can download, so feel free to create additional graphics to help spread the word. Download the art files (ZIP)

Give Back

If a participating brewery would like to donate a portion of the proceeds from their Every Vote Counts beer, we ask that they please choose a charity that supports voter registration. For questions or recommendations, please contact our office.

Participating Breweries

This is a difficult time for both voters who are quarantining themselves to stay safe and protect others, and for the breweries, restaurants and businesses in our communities. Visit VoteOhio.gov to learn about the multiple voting options available for the coming election, including absentee voting, early in-person and in-person voting on Election Day – and please consider visiting a local brewery to raise a glass for democracy and support small business in your community!
