Secretary LaRose Travels to Alabama in Honor of Voting Rights

COLUMBUS – Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose is traveling to Alabama for a nonpartisan voting rights history tour in Alabama with 18 other secretaries of states across the nation.

The tour is May 9, 10, and 11 and will take the secretaries on tours through Birmingham, Montgomery, and Selma. Some of the activities and experiences include tours of the following locations:

  • Birmingham Civil Rights Institute
  • Alabama State Capitol Building
  • Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church
  • Southern Poverty Law Center
  • Equal Justice Initiative Legacy Museum & National Memorial for Peace and Justice
  • Rosa Parks Memorial Center
  • Lowndes Interpretive Center
  • Crossing of the Edmund Pettus Bridge
  • Brown Chapel
  • National Voting Rights Museum
