COLUMBUS - Secretary of State Frank LaRose issued a statement today on the passage of SB 107. This legislation was sponsored by State Senator Michael Rulli (R-Salem) and will enhance transparency by allowing campaign finance reports for local candidates to be filed electronically with county boards of elections.
The following statement may be attributed to Secretary LaRose:
“Our democracy is built upon a simple concept – voters need information to make an educated decision. By integrating far better transparency into local government campaign finance, we’re shining a light on the dollars that fill the coffers of candidates in communities across Ohio – and that’s information voters need to know. I would like to thank Senator Rulli for championing this legislation and Senate and House leadership for making this bill a priority.”
