COLUMBUS - Secretary of State Frank LaRose issued a statement today on the signing of SB 107. This legislation was sponsored by State Senator Michael Rulli (R-Salem) and will enhance transparency by allowing campaign finance reports for local candidates to be filed electronically with county boards of elections.
The following statement may be attributed to Secretary LaRose:
“Voters deserve to know who is funding campaigns. By bringing far better transparency into local government campaign finance, we’re shining a light on the dollars that fill the coffers of candidates in communities across Ohio – and that’s information voters need to know. I would like to thank Governor DeWine for signing this legislation and Senator Rulli for championing this issue.”
