COLUMBUS – Today Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced the selected businesses for January’s Ohio Business Spotlight. This month, we are honoring the businesses that have stood strong for 100 years or more, highlighting Ohio’s long-term strength in our national economy.
“Ohio has a long history of embracing entrepreneurship,” said LaRose. “As we honor centennial businesses, I hope Ohioans across the state are inspired to start their business.”

By looking back at how his family’s business started nearly 85 years ago, Secretary LaRose sees the same characteristics of hard work and innovation that have led so many Ohio businesses to succeed for 100 years or more.
Ohio Business Spotlight is an initiative designed to highlight strong businesses that can serve as examples of Ohio’s economic potential. Ohio businesses start at the Ohio Secretary of State’s office, so there is a special opportunity to empower new entrepreneurs with the knowledge they need to succeed in the Buckeye state. Each month, Secretary LaRose will select various businesses around the state that share a common theme.
