Early Voting Has Started
Early voting for the August 3rd Congressional Special Election Primary began on Wednesday, June 7th. Ohio is a national leader in making it easy and convenient to vote by providing four weeks of early voting, including weekend and evening hours. In fact, Ohio is one of only twenty states that offers Saturday voting and one of only five states that offers Sunday voting. Monday the 12th starts the second week of early voting.
Reminding Ohioans of Voter Registration Deadline
On Wednesday, Secretary LaRose partnered with the media to reach out to unregistered potential voters in the 11th and 15th Congressional districts to encourage Ohioans in those districts to register to vote at their boards of elections or online at VoteOhio.gov. The Secretary joined multiple news outlets, radio stations, and posted on social media to remind Ohioans that their voices matter. The August 3rd Congressional Special Election Primaries will help determine who fills the seats of former Congresswoman Marcia Fudge and former Congressman Steve Stivers.
Ohio makes registering to vote easy. In addition to options for submitting a paper voter registration form, Ohioans can register to vote from their computer or mobile device in just a few quick steps at VoteOhio.gov.
