More National Recognition for Ohio Elections
The U.S. Elections Assistance Commission 2020 Clearinghouse Awards were announced and Secretary LaRose was one of just four Secretaries of State winning the national award. LaRose’s “Clearie” was awarded for innovative voter outreach and poll worker recruitment programs that led to Ohio’s most successful election ever.
Keeping Ohio Elections Strong with Election Administrator Accountability
This week, Secretary LaRose rejected the appointments of five county board of elections members from Summit, Lorain, Vinton (2), and Hocking. In each of the rejected appointments, significant deficiencies were determined where board members did not provide the standard necessary to continue serving in their respective role. While in the Queen City, Secretary LaRose had lunch with the Cincinnati Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 69 to discuss the state's “Shielding Our Protectors” program.
