Ohio ran our most successful election ever in 2020 — we and other states do not want DC politicians unconstitutionally overwriting our state laws. Secretary LaRose had lunch at Ginevra Café with Farxaan Jeyte, Diversity Empowerment Council member & President of the Ohio Somalian American Chamber of Commerce to discuss ways to promote business opportunities in the hardworking Somali communities throughout the state.

Educating Kids on Voting and Civic Duty

Cleveland Public Library offers an exciting feature called “Dial-A-Story.” It is a chance for story time to be viewed whenever a family chooses! Secretary LaRose had the opportunity to record a Cat in the Hat book he has been reading to countless kids over the years called “One Vote, Two, Vote, I Vote, You Vote.”

Additional Meetings:

  • Secretary LaRose visited Hilliard to meet with the Chamber of Commerce as well as local elected leaders to highlight his legislative priorities this year.

  • The Emergency Management Association of Ohio held their Virtual Winter Symposium this week. Secretary LaRose was able to speak with this organization about how both the elections and emergency management professionals rely upon each other to accomplish their mission.
