A Visit From the Bluegrass State

Secretary LaRose held his fourth Ready for November Task Force meeting on Thursday. Gabrielle Summe, a Kentucky Election Official, spoke about lessons learned from her state’s recent primary election. Terry Wood, Director of the Wood County Board of Elections, joined the Task Force to discuss their efforts to retain and recruit poll workers. USMCA Boosting Ohio's Economy

The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) officially took effect this week. Below is Secretary LaRose's statement:

“Today is a day Ohio’s farmers and entrepreneurs have been waiting for,” said Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose. “As our nation’s economy continues to recover, the USMCA is a much-needed boost as they compete on the global stage. Thanks to the leadership of President Trump, Senator Portman and bipartisan leaders from across our nation, Ohio is poised for our next giant leap, and my office looks forward to helping make it happen.”

123 Days Until November 3rd

With 123 days until the November General Election, Secretary LaRose met with his team of regional liaisons this week who are hard at work to ensure all 88 county boards of elections are ready for November. You can find your regional representative by clicking here

Board of Elections Spotlight

Boards of Elections around the state are hiring summer interns to help prepare for the November election. Clinton County Board of Elections had their interns take an oath to uphold the constitution of the State of Ohio and the election laws as part of their orientation. Good job Clinton County!
