COLUMBUS- Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose released the following statement today after the Ohio Senate passed SB 107. This legislation is sponsored by State Senator Michael Rulli (R- Salem).
The following statement may be attributed to Secretary LaRose:
“It’s unbelievable that right now local candidates are required to submit their campaign finance reports in dead-tree format. That’s why I’m glad the Ohio Senate saw fit to unanimously pass legislation that takes a strong first step towards giving Ohioans the transparency they deserve," said LaRose.
"While I believe there is more work to do, I want to thank Senate President Obhof for his support and Senator Rulli for sponsoring this important legislation, and I look forward to this bill moving quickly through the House.”
