(Columbus) – Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose offered testimony on Monday to the Pennsylvania House Republican Policy Committee, providing insight on the proper implementation of election laws requiring voters to show photo identification.
The Pennsylvania state legislature sought the advice of Secretary LaRose as they seek to implement a similar model to the one adopted by the Ohio General Assembly last year (HB 458), which requires a strict photo ID to vote while also providing voters with a free state ID card.
Secretary LaRose also offered testimony to the Pennsylvania state legislature after the 2020 election, advising lawmakers on election administration and security measures that worked well in Ohio. He continues to consult other states on various election improvement strategies.
