(Columbus) - Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose issued the following statement today regarding an announcement by the United States Attorneys for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio of arrests in three voter fraud cases involving allegations of noncitizens unlawfully voting in Ohio elections:
“I’m grateful to see justice finally being pursued in these cases, thanks to the unprecedented collaboration between my office and the federal government. I’ve worked closely with federal law enforcement to protect the integrity of our voter rolls, and especially in upholding Ohio’s citizenship voting requirement. A single case of voter fraud can spoil the outcome of an entire election, and it will not be tolerated on my watch. This is precisely why my office uses federal law enforcement resources and data to review Ohio’s voter registration database for accuracy and legal compliance. Those efforts are paying off, and Ohio is once again proving to be the national gold standard in election integrity and administration.”
