Secretary LaRose traveled to Wickliffe High School to lead a mock election for students. The Secretary also delivered an inspiring speech to encourage students to get registered to vote and consider signing up to be a poll worker in Ohio's elections. Special thanks to the Lake County Board of Elections for providing the equipment and help in making this a meaningful experience.
At the Ohio Statehouse, Secretary LaRose helped set the tone for the Capital Square Foundation’s "A Conversation with Jane Pauley" by leading attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer.
The Lubrizol Corporation welcomed Secretary LaRose to its world headquarters in Wickliffe this week. The Secretary met with company leadership, sharing information on how Ohio's elections are conducted and how businesses can help promote poll worker signups through the "Give a Day for Democracy" program.
Secretary LaRose participated in a roundtable at the University of Rio Grande with University leadership, elected officials, Chamber of Commerce, and Economic Development experts. Topics discussed included economic development in Gallia County and the region and resources the Secretary of State’s Office can provide small businesses.
Secretary LaRose spoke at the University of Rio Grande as part of their Civic Leadership Series. Topics discussed included the role of the Secretary of State in state government, elections, civic engagement, and public service. There was also Q&A time with the students.
Northeast Ohio Regional Liaison Dustin Russell joined Aurora Mayor Ann Womer-Benjamin, and other regional and community partners at the State of the City, hosted by the Aurora Chamber of Commerce.
