Crites to Chair Ohio Election Integrity Commission: Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced the appointment of D. Michael Crites to serve as chair of the Ohio Election Integrity Commission. Crites formally replaces retired Ohio Supreme Court Justice Terrence O’Donnell, who served as the commission’s interim chair until the newly enacted Senate Bill 293 became law. Read more here.
Voter Registration Deadline Quickly Approaching: The May 5th Primary Election is fast approaching. Secretary LaRose is reminding Ohioans to register to vote, or update their voter registration, by the April 6th deadline. Boards of Elections and the Ohio Secretary of State's office will be open until 9 pm on April 6th to assist with registration. Find everything you need to make your voice heard at VoteOhio.gov!

While absentee ballots must now be received by 7:30 p.m. on Election Day, this change in Ohio law does not impact the deadline for military and overseas voters. Mailed UOCAVA ballots may still be received up to 4 days after Election Day. Learn more about absentee voting in Ohio here.
