Ravenwood Castle

As lifelong Ohioans, we love being able to share Ohio’s brand of hospitality with our guests – Ohioans and residents of other states alike. We also love introducing guests to the Hocking Hills region, one of the most beautiful natural settings in the state.

Ravenwood Castle is a country inn located in the scenic Hocking Hills region. Built in 1995 as a bed and breakfast, Ravenwood was purchased by Jim and Pam Reed in 2012. The Reeds mission is to turn Ravenwood into a unique getaway experience, and provide guests with a great place and a great way to spend quality time with family and friends.

Ravenwood hosts numerous events each year, from weddings and beer tastings to board game conventions and murder mysteries.

Ravenwood’s remote location and lack of internet provides its guests with the ability to disconnect from the electronic leashes of day-to-day life. Guests have embraced this ‘unplugged’ environment and enjoyed a variety of activities, including board games and role playing games. This has become such a popular activity that the castle is becoming known as a destination getaway for board gamers across the country. Gaming is also central to the castle’s signature event, Hoop & Stick, an annual charity convention which raises funds for children’s hospitals.

The Reeds have embarked on an effort to spread Ravenwood’s brand of hospitality throughout Ohio, beginning with the launch of The Malted Meeple, a spin off board game café in Hudson.
