DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS:
Founded by Ron and Catherine Tijerina in 2000, The RIDGE Project (TYRO) is a Christian, nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and improving the lives of families throughout the state of Ohio. The organization believes that strong families produce strong children, who will pass on that legacy of strength for generations. Since its founding, RIDGE has created and administered many programs to assist adults and youth in improving their personal lives, the lives of their families, and their economic stability. The Tijerina’s award-winning curriculum, TYRO, is evidence-based and attacks the culture of selfishness, incarceration, and poverty. These programs include TYRO Leadership, TYRO Dads, TYRO Rites of Passage and TYRO Job Ethics Training (JET). The RIDGE Project provides prevention programs through positive youth development/leadership, intervention programs through healthy relationship development, fatherhood skills trainings, and leadership courses; and redirection through workforce strengthening courses that are bringing transformation to thousands of Ohio residents every year. The RIDGE Project is strongly committed to changing statistics by building a legacy of strong families for generations to come.
