Voting Schedule for the 2021 Elections

May 4, 2021 PRIMARY/SPECIAL ELECTION

Military & Overseas Absentee Voting: Begins March 19 (46 Days Before Election Day)

Early In-Person Voting: Begins April 6 and includes the Saturday, Sunday and the Monday before Election Day

Absentee Voting By Mail: Begins April 6 (29 Days Before Election Day)

Election Day: May 4 (Polls Open 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.)

March 19: Military and Overseas Absentee Voting begins

APRIL

April 5: Deadline to Register to Vote. In counties with a primary, Boards of Election will be open until 9:00 p.m.

April 6: Absentee Voting by Mail begins (ends May 3)

April 6: Early In-Person Voting begins

EARLY IN-PERSON VOTING HOURS FOR APRIL

April 6-9: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

April 12-16: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

April 19-23: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

April 26-30: 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.

MAY

May 1: Deadline to Request an Absentee Ballot (Noon)

May 3: Mailed absentee ballots must be postmarked by this date

May 4: Primary/Special Election: Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

May 4: Voters are able to drop off absentee ballot at their county board of elections office until 7:30 p.m.

May 14: Last day for boards to receive mail-in ballots that have been postmarked on or before May 3

EARLY IN-PERSON VOTING HOURS FOR MAY

May 1: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

May 2: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

May 3: 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

November 1: Mailed absentee ballots must be postmarked by this date

November 2: General Election: Polls are open from 6:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

November 2: Absentee Ballots May Be Returned by Mail or Personally Delivered to Your County Board of Elections. If Not Returned by Mail, Absentee Ballots Must Be Received by Your Board of Elections by 7:30 p.m.

November 12: Last day for boards to receive mail-in ballots that have been postmarked on or before November 1.

EARLY IN-PERSON VOTING HOURS FOR NOVEMBER

November 1: 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
