The Ready for November initiative will offer a series of collaborative training opportunities between Ohio’s 88 county boards of elections and the Secretary of State’s elections, public integrity and communications staff.

COLUMBUS – Ohio’s Primary Election is less than a week away and many voters have already taken advantage of the state’s absentee and early voting opportunities to cast their ballots. Today, Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced that 347,489 absentee ballots have been requested and 259,988 votes have already been cast statewide.

COLUMBUS - Ohio’s 88 county boards of elections began sending out ballots today to military and overseas voters, officially opening the March 19 primary election.

COLUMBUS – Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose issued a letter today to state legislative leaders urging immediate action to close a “foreign influence” loophole in state campaign finance law. LaRose told Senate President Matt Huffman and House Speaker Jason Stephens that a legislative fix is needed to prevent non-citizens from bankrolling campaigns for or against proposed statewide ballot issues.

COLUMBUS – Ohio added more than 13,000 new businesses in September, according to the latest data released by the Secretary of State’s Business Services Division. Despite the robust number of new businesses, this is the first filing in four months that doesn't report a year-over-year increase.
