COLUMBUS – Ohio’s Presidential Primary Election is one week away. Today, Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced that 336,531 absentee ballots have been requested by-mail or in-person and that 194,522 votes have been cast statewide.

COLUMBUS – With increased concerns regarding Coronavirus/COVID-19, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose provided a brief update on how it will impact voting in Ohio.

COLUMBUS- Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose today warned Ohio business owners to be on the lookout for a deceptive mailing from a business that is selling government documents for a significantly marked up price.

COLUMBUS – Pre-Primary Reports are due by tomorrow, March 5, at 4:00 p.m. for candidates on the Primary Election ballot that have spent or received $1,000 or more between their last report and February 26, 2020. The $1,000 threshold includes monetary and in-kind contributions, along with the value of any new loans received during the reporting period.

COLUMBUS – Ohio’s Presidential Primary Election is two weeks from today. Today, Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced that 243,719 absentee ballots have been requested by-mail or in-person and that 84,149 votes have been cast statewide.

COLUMBUS – Ohio’s Presidential Primary Election is three weeks from today. Today, Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced that 149,736 absentee ballots have been requested by-mail or in-person and that 18,189 votes have been cast statewide.

COLUMBUS –Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose gave the keynote address at a naturalization ceremony held at the Ohio Statehouse for 219 new Americans from 54 different countries. LaRose encouraged all in attendance to perform their civic duty to register to vote and have their voice heard in the November election.

COLUMBUS – After another record-setting year in 2019, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose today announced 12,069 new businesses filed to do business here in Ohio in January. This is an increase of 2,998 from December.

COLUMBUS – Today Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced the selected businesses for this month’s Ohio Business Spotlight. To celebrate, we’re shining a well-deserved light on several minority-owned businesses from across the state.

COLUMBUS –Virtually every Ohio county has met the requirements of the Security Directive Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose issued in June 2019. One county is considered non-compliant and requires corrective action and seven counties have been good-faith partners but have minor additional action required. All other counties are considered fully compliant.

COLUMBUS – Today, Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced Sean M. McAfee as the new Chief Information Security Officer for the Ohio Secretary of State's office. Tomorrow, SB 52 goes into effect and a key aspect of that bill establishes a Chief Information Security Officer in the Secretary of State’s office. COLUMBUS – Today Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced the selected businesses for January’s Ohio Business Spotlight. This month, we are honoring the businesses that have stood strong for 100 years or more, highlighting Ohio’s long-term strength in our national economy.

COLUMBUS – Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose today announced 130,621 new businesses filed in Ohio in 2019, setting a new annual record. 9,071 new entities filed to do business in Ohio in December – the best December on record – and helped drive Ohio over the 130,000 new businesses threshold for the first time ever.

COLUMBUS –Over the past year, Colorado, Ohio, and West Virginia have been leaders in information sharing and cooperation on election security issues. The following is a joint statement from Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, and West Virginia Secretary of State Mac Warner in response to news today that the FBI will immediately begin to share information about cyber-intrusions/attacks with state election officials:

COLUMBUS –Today, Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced the certification of candidates for the 2020 Ohio Presidential Primary.

COLUMBUS –Today, Secretary of State Frank LaRose welcomed new Americans at a Naturalization Ceremony in Cleveland where 79 people became citizens. Following the event, the Secretary joined the Cuyahoga Board of Elections and League of Women Voters to sign up many of the newly sworn-in citizens as registered voters.
