The Ohio Secretary of State’s office welcomed new election officials to Columbus this week for a comprehensive training session. Attendees received guidance from the Elections, Public Integrity, Cybersecurity, Communications, and Legal teams as they prepare to help uphold Ohio’s Gold Standard in election administration.

Secretary LaRose traveled to Wickliffe High School to lead a mock election for students. The Secretary also delivered an inspiring speech to encourage students to get registered to vote and consider signing up to be a poll worker in Ohio's elections. Special thanks to the Lake County Board of Elections for providing the equipment and help in making this a meaningful experience.

Secretary LaRose attended the Buckeye State Sheriffs' Association reception this week, thanking them for their dedication to keeping our Ohio's citizens safe.

Secretary LaRose had the privilege to ride in a patrol helicopter with members of the Ohio State Highway Patrol this week. The Secretary saw how Ohio's state troopers literally go above and beyond to keep Ohioans safe. Thank you to Sgt. Andrew Edinger and Tactical Flight Officer Taylor Vogelmeier for the opportunity.

Tuscarawas County Commissioners Greg Hess and Mitch Pace, along with County Administrator Kris Lowdermilk and County Prosecutor Ryan Styler, welcomed Secretary LaRose to discuss the new board of elections building and the important relationship between county government and its boards of election.

West Central Regional Liaison Brian Metzbower recognized the opening of Generations Realty in Gahanna with a proclamation on behalf of Secretary LaRose.

Secretary LaRose celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy at the MLK Musical Concert in Dayton. It was an inspiring event filled with music, reflection and unity - reminding us that service, justice and hope must continue to guide our work.

America 250 Ohio kicked off its celebration of our nation's semiquincentennial this week. As part of the celebration, Secretary LaRose led the Pledge of Allegiance and asked those in attendance to understand what their pledge means.

Eastern Ohio Regional Liaison Fiona Ruminski presented CASA Child’s Place with a commendation celebrating their 25th anniversary. In its 25 years of service, CASA has helped 2,025 children in the eastern Ohio area.
